BKK Telebusz: Flexible travel claims management with the development of AP4 Digital

We have developed an application that simplifies the requisition process for demand-driven flights in Budapest and the agglomeration via an online interface. The purpose of the service provided to our client is to reach suburban residential communities by extending the basic transport network.

Our client's request was to develop a web and mobile app designed to launch flights to suburban and agglomeration destinations that operate only in the morning and late afternoon/evening hours. This reduces unnecessary environmental load, while adapting to the needs of passengers and eliminating the need for a permanent full day schedule.
Solution
We have developed a PWA, a web application. Passengers can use it on the browser or downloaded, after registration they can easily select the flight, route, departure time, place of takeoff and landing, the number of passengers, as well as add special requests. We have made available to drivers an Android application through which they can see the needs of passengers without the involvement of dispatchers. As a third element, we have developed a backoffice system for customer service, where they can see information about the traffic of flights and travel statistics.
Outcome
The app we have developed allows passengers to submit their travel needs for on-demand bus services via a responsive web interface. With the help of the system developed by us, BKK's customer service and dispatch service staff can effectively manage these needs through an administration interface. The administration interface brings together information about passengers' requested flights, so dispatchers and customer service staff can easily track incoming travel requests. Based on this, they can notify the bus drivers of the necessary departures, ensuring efficient and accurate service. Technologies used in the project: Kotlin, Vue.js, JavaScript
